			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Canadian Software Innovation Alliance has made public its <a href="http://www.softwareinnovation.ca/whitepaper/csia-whitepaper-2.1.pdf" class="pdf" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackVisit('/whitepaper/whitepaper/csia-whitepaper-2.1.pdf');">White Paper</a> on open source and copyright policy.  Titled &#8220;Software Innovation, Copyright and the Dangers of Anti-Circumvention Legislation&#8221;, the paper offers an account of the economic significance of Canada&#8217;s open source sector, reviews the importance of balanced copyright to open source innovators, and outlines the danger anti-circumvention laws poses to open source innovators.  The White Paper concludes with a series of recommendations to Canadian policy makers for minimizing the risk of harm anti-circumvention laws pose to software innovation.</p>
